BiosBrickbyBrick International is composed of like-minded people with the collective aim to work in the promotion and use of our natural resources in The Gambia to build low-cost houses for marginalized populations living in the urban and rural areas of the country and this we realize by using Bamboo and wood that is in abundance. We grow the Bamboo and after three years we can start harvesting it for local consumption. In this way we can contribute to the reduction of polluting the environment, prevent soil erosion and reduce the import bill of building materials from abroad thereby improving the economic base of the nation at large. We are convince that this is the best way to help the poor and also sustainability of the economy in the development process in years to come.
The administrative group is largely composed of Gambians but also people from different parts of the world, with different political,cultural, social backgrounds and experience but having one thing in common, to work collectively to improve the habitation of diverse populations of marginalized people in the rural and urban areas of the Gambia and have the ambition to disseminate this idea to affect other parts of Africa, where people are yawning for a decent living but without help from their local authorities, who are struggling with limited resources to cater for a fast growing population in their respective communities.
